The Telecom Infra Project’s (TIP) OpenRAN Project Group (PG) is entering a bold new phase; one designed to drive greater alignment, collaboration, and real-world impact across the Open RAN ecosystem. With the approval of a new, streamlined structure, the PG is now focused on delivering high-value outcomes through two clearly defined tracks: Solutions and RIA (RAN Intelligence & Automation). This evolution marks a major milestone in the PG’s journey to accelerate the adoption of open and disaggregated RAN technologies. By consolidating its previous six subgroups into two focused areas, the new structure is aimed at boosting technical depth, operational clarity, and industry collaboration.

This marks a pivotal moment for the OpenRAN PG as it continues to evolve and lead the way in shaping the future of open, disaggregated mobile networks.
