Q2 brought new Project Group momentum across open networks, AI-native telecom foundations, application experience, and FYUZ 2026 planning as the TIP community prepares to gather in Seattle this November.

HITEC 2026 brought approximately 6,000 hospitality technology leaders, MSPs, operators, and solution providers to the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio from June 15–18. With more than 370 exhibitors, the event offered a clear view into the priorities shaping hotel and resort technology.

The overall goal for this community is to define approaches to maintaining and improving QoE for video applications, which are expected to run on wireless broadband networks of today and into the future.

Seattle is a city shaped by the same forces driving the next phase of telecom: cloud, AI, global connectivity, infrastructure, software, and scale. It is home to some of the world’s most influential technology companies, but it is also a working city built around ports, aviation, logistics, research, culture, and connection. That makes it a fitting place to bring the global telecom community together.

The following statement outlines MANTRA’s current interest in the upcoming IETF IVY Hackathon, the standardization gap it sees for IP domain inventory, and its continued alignment with TAPI as the target model for optical network inventory within the TIP MUST subgroup.
