TIP’s OpenRAN RAN Intelligence & Automation (RIA) Subgroup has released a new white paper exploring how Agentic AI could advance O-RAN SMO. It examines today’s automation gaps, governed AI agents, energy optimization, cross-domain fault resolution, and a vision for an AI-native, intent-driven SMO for 6G, including TIP’s role in turning emerging architectures into deployable solutions.

The overall goal for this community is to define approaches to maintaining and improving QoE for video applications, which are expected to run on wireless broadband networks of today and into the future.

At Network X Americas, TIP hosted a Breakfast Briefing panel on AI for Telecom Networks in Practice, bringing together leaders from across the telecom ecosystem to discuss how operators can turn network data into practical, scalable intelligence.

TIP’s OpenRAN Solutions subgroup has released Version 2 of the Small Cell End-to-End Test Plan, providing a common framework for validating disaggregated 5G NR small cell solutions across interoperability, performance, energy efficiency, operations, and resiliency.

The Telecom Infra Project announces today the official launch of its latest Project Group, Data & AI Foundations, with founding Co-Chairs from AT&T, AWS, Orange, Telefónica and with expectations of other community members following swiftly after.

ENAI targets to define open, interoperable architectures for AI infrastructure, including Ethernet‑based scale‑up and scale‑out within servers and AI clusters, and open IP‑based transport for scale‑across connectivity across distributed data centers.
