The PG5200 is a 1U rack-mount Baseband Unit that integrates Central Unit (CU) and Distributed Unit (DU) functions on an Intel® x86 platform, purpose-built for private and campus 5G networks. It implements 3GPP Rel. 15 NR (upgradeable), supports O-RAN fronthaul and common interface functions (F1, NG, Xn, GTP), and ships with Pegatron’s RAN software and GUI for streamlined deployment and operations. The PG5200’s NFVI enables high-availability and flexible service instantiation at the edge, with options for leased-line or satellite backhaul, making it suitable for smart factories, transportation, public safety, and other mission-critical private network use cases.
