QCT's IronRAN-FG GenA is a 5G Fronthaul gateway with eCPRI protocol supports for disaggregated RAN deployment. IronRAN-FG GenA is designed as the expansion unit of BBU to expand radio coverage and it could distribute downlink transmission from BBU to multiple RRUs and merges the uplink transmission of multiple RRUs to BBU. IronRAN-FG GenA supports IEEE 1588v2/SyncE time sync, expands up to 8x RRUs and supports two-level cascading to increase service capacity and optimize private 5G network coverage.
